ReutersShares of Macrotech Developers(up 1.71 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 1.54 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 1.52 per cent), SOBHA(up 0.97 per cent) and DLF(up 0.96 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Mahindra Lifespace Developers(down 1.19 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 0.93 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 0.65 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.51 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.53 per cent up at 520.0.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 216.95 points at 19189.05, while the BSE Sensex stood up 803.14 points at 64718.56.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 ended in the green, while 9 closed in the red.
Shares of Easy Trip Planners, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Vodafone Idea and Reliance Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of JK Tyre, Mallcom(India), Vasa Denticity, Kore Digital and 63 Moons Tech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Penta Gold, Power & Instrument, Bombay Metrics Suppl, Cell Point(India)and Latteys Industries hit their fresh 52-week lows.
