Delhi Monsoon: Rain accompanied by winds lashes parts of Delhi-NCR; more downpour expected today

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cloudy sky and light to moderate rain with thundershowers in Delhi today. Since morning, rain lashed parts of the national capital.
As per IMD, the city is expected to experience a cloudy sky with light to moderate rain/thundershowers today. The maximum and minimum temperature would be around 36 and 26 degree Celsius respectively.
RWFC Delhi has also predicted thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of isolated places of Delhi- NCR in next two hours.

As per the tweet by RWFC Delhi, “29/06/2023: 09:05 IST; Thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of isolated places of Delhi ( Deramandi), NCR ( Faridabad, Manesar, Ballabhgarh) Safidon, Jind, Panipat, Gohana, Rohtak, Mattanhail, Jhajjar, Farukhnagar, Kosali, Sohana, Rewari, Nuh (Haryana) Saharanpur, Deoband, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar (U.P.) Bhiwari (Rajasthan).
"Light intensity rain/drizzle would occur over and adjoining areas of many places of Delhi , NCR ( Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida) Kandhla, Sakoti Tanda, Hastinapur, Chandpur, Daurala, Bagpat, Meerut, Khekra, Modinagar, Kithor, Amroha, Garhmukteshwar, Pilakhua, Hapur, Gulaoti, Siyana, Sikandrabad, Bulandshahar, Shikarpur, Pahasu (U.P.) Tizara, Khairthal (Rajasthan) during next 2 hours," it said.
Today, water logging was witnessed in parts of Noida after rainfall.
The overall Air quality index in the national capital stood at 99 which is in the ‘satisfactory’ category. An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe.'
The monsoon arrived in the national capital on Sunday, two days before its scheduled onset, bringing respite to Delhiites from the scorching heat.
On Wednesday, Cloudy sky with cool breeze brought respite from heat in the capital as the maximum temperature settling at 36.4 °C degrees Celsius, one notches below normal. Rainfall in the category of 15.6-64.4 mm is referred to as moderate rainfall.
