Monsoon rains are lashing several parts of India with waterlogging incidents disrupting lives in cities like Delhi and Mumbai. The Indian Meteorological Department on Wednesday released weather forecasts for various regions of India. As per the weather department, the rains will continue for at least 5 more days.

Life in Mumbai was disrupted severely on Wednesday as heavy rains caused waterlogging in the city. The administration decided to close the Andheri subway after dangerous waterlogging. Traffic snarls were witnessed in various parts of the city and the intense rains are expected to continue for next few days.

Here's the IMD forecast for different regions of India:

Delhi: IMD forecast informed that Delhi and the areas adjoining the capital are likely to witness light to moderate rainfall in the next three days while heavy rainfall is also expected at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana during the next 3 days.

Mumbai: During the next 5 days, the regions of northwest India like Maharashtra, Goa, and Gujarat are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall. The IMD also predicted isolated extremely heavy rainfall very likely over Konkan and Gujarat region on 28th June.

Bengaluru: Light to moderate rainfall is expected in Bengaluru city for the next 5 days with coastal Karnataka region expected to receive isolated very heavy rainfall on 28 June. The South Interior of Karnataka is likely to receive isolated heavy rainfall on 28th June and 2nd July.

Kolkata: The IMD has predicted isolated heavy rainfall for West Bengal and adjoining states like Jharkhand, Odisha, and Bihar from the 28th to the 30th of June. Moreover, isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is also predicted over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim.

Kerala: Light to moderate, scattered to widespread rainfall is expected over Kerala and Mahe region for the next 5 days. Isolated heavy rainfall is also expected in Kerala on the 28th, 29th June and the 2nd July.
