Sentiment Cautious As Markets Brace For Central Bank Commentary

Market sentiment remains subdued ahead of Fed Chair Powell's panel discussion at the ECB Forum on Central Banking on Wednesday. The release of the PCE inflation readings from the U.S. are due on Friday which also kept sentiment in check.

European benchmarks recorded strong gains. Wall Street Futures are trading mixed. Asian stocks finished mostly higher.

Dollar Index remained firm. Bond yields mostly eased. Crude oil prices rebounded amidst a larger-than-expected drop in crude oil inventories in the U.S. Gold declined as Fed fears resumed. Cryptocurrencies declined.

UBS Group (UBS) is planning to cut around 35000 Credit Suisse staff, according to a report published by Bloomberg. The job cut comes to more than half of Credit Suisse's workforce. Reports said the cuts will be in three rounds starting from the end of July. Final cuts might be in September and October....
