On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.32 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 1.02 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(down 0.41 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.47 per cent up at 517.25.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 154.7 points at 18972.1, while the BSE Sensex stood up 499.39 points at 63915.42.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 42 ended in the green, while 8 closed in the red.
Shares of Suzlon Energy, Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, YES Bank and BEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of JBM Auto, Veekayem Fashion, V-Marc India, Dhunseri Petrochem and Windsor Machine hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Ansal Prop, Penta Gold, Varanium Cloud, Urban Enviro Waste and Power & Instrument hit their fresh 52-week lows.
