Future Consumer(down 5.56%), Dangee Dums(down 2.82%), Jyothy Labs(down 2.17%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 1.49%), Emami(down 1.22%), Bikaji Foods International(down 1.17%), Marico(down 1.11%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(down 0.84%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 0.73%) and Varun Beverages(down 0.73%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 154.7 points up at 18972.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 499.39 points at 63915.42.
Adani Enterprises(up 5.15%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 5.03%), JSW Steel(up 2.74%), Tata Motors(up 2.36%), Bajaj Auto(up 2.13%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 2.0%), Titan Company Ltd(up 1.76%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.64%), NTPC(up 1.64%) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.4%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 2.29%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.04%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.54%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.53%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 0.31%), Bajaj Finserv(down 0.27%), Wipro(down 0.24%) and Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.22%) closed in the red.
