    Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

    NEW DELHI: Adani Ent.(Rs. 1791.66 crore), RIL(Rs. 1458.49 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1320.52 crore), HDFC(Rs. 1132.64 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1088.83 crore), ICICI Securities(Rs. 1034.27 crore), Shree Cements(Rs. 1022.75 crore), HAL(Rs. 1010.33 crore), Mazagon Dock Ship(Rs. 802.33 crore) and TCS(Rs. 631.12 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Monday's session.

    The NSE Nifty index ended the session 25.7 points up at 18691.2, while BSE Sensex fell 9.37 points to 62970.0.

    In the Nifty index, Cipla Ltd.(up 3.28 per cent), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.78 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.70 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 2.58 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.06 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

    On the other hand, NTPC Ltd.(down 0.96 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.83 per cent), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 0.76 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 0.71 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.64 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
