The State government has implemented a significant increase in its employees' advances, allowances, and incentives as part of the decennial festivities, providing assistance to its staff members and pensioners. On Thursday, the Finance Department issued a GO to that effect, taking into account the increase in the revised 2020 pay scales as suggested by the PRC.

On Thursday, the Finance Department issued a GO to that effect, taking into account the increase in the revised 2020 pay scales as suggested by the PRC.

Employees were granted significantly larger advances for the construction of homes, the purchase of cars and two-wheelers, and the marriage of their daughters and sons. The stipend has been increased by departmental wise directives. An employee's travel and convenience allowance has been increased by 30%. The transport benefit provided to employees transferring to new locations has seen a 30% rise.

Lift operators and divers will receive an extra Rs. 150 for working on holidays. Employees who work in Schedule Areas now get a 30 percent increase in the special compensating allowance. The handicapped employees' convenience allowance increased from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 3000. The advance maximum for workers who construct or buy a home or apartment has increased. The raised maximum will be in the region of Rs. 20 lakhs to Rs. 30 lakhs based on the basic wage they are receiving.

The maximum house building advance for officers from all india services stationed in the State will be Rs 35 lakh. The amount that automobile purchasers may advance was raised from 6 lakhs to 9 lakhs. The cap for those purchasing two-wheelers was raised from Rs 80,000 to Rs 1 lakh. The advance cap for employees officiating a daughter's wedding was raised from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 4 lakh. The maximum was increased from Rs. 75,000 to Rs. 3 lakhs in the case of a son's marriage.

Employees at state training institutions are now eligible for a 30% increase in the incentive offered to them. According to the 2020 pay scale, the special pay awarded to police officers operating in the Greyhounds, State Intelligence, Traffic, CID, Octopus, and Anti-Naxalite Squads would be implemented. The amount of immediate assistance given in the event of a pensioner's death was increased from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 30,000. All types of personnel conducting work in the Protocol Department will get an additional 15% in special pay.
