The bench said it will give its order on June 26.
On Wednesday, the single Bench of Justice Amrita Sinha had ordered the CBI probe following a petition filed by two candidates alleging tampering of their nomination documents.
The HC while hearing a contempt plea against the West Bengal State Election Commission, directed the commission to file an affidavit by June 27 on whether there was any wilful delay in complying with the court's orders on requisition of Central forces.
Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari moved the Calcutta High Court urged it to increase the number of phases of the panchayat polls. "We have appealed about phase-wise panchayat polls and it will help in deployment of force," Adhikari said. The high court will hear the matter again next week.
So far, 315 companies of CAPF have been deployed by the Union ministry of home affairs to West Bengal for panchayat polls to be held on July 8.
