MLA Bharat Singh resigns from state wildlife board
Kota: Congress MLA Bharat Singh Kundanpur on Friday shot off a letter to CM Ashok Gehlot, who is also chairman of the state wildlife board, and tendered his resignation from membership of the board.
Kundanpur accused Gehlot of ignoring wildlife and forest conservation and protecting the corrupt in the state. He urged the CM to treat his letter, dated June 23, as his resignation from membership of state wildlife board.
“You are the chairman of the state wildlife board. It is a fact that you are not interested in wildlife and forest conservation, and it is the reason that meetings of the board are never held on time. You never visited Mukundra Tiger Reserve Park in Kota,” wrote Kundanpur in the letter.
Without naming anyone, Kundanpur also pointed at state mining and gopalan minister Pramod Jain Bhaya, who is MLA from Anta in Baran district, and raised the issue of the GIB breeding centre at Anta, which was declared in the 2018-19 budget. He also objected to the transfer of 39 IFS officers and other staffers. TNN
