PATNA: BJP on Friday alleged that Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin violated traffic rules by not wearing a seat-belt while moving in a car with deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav to the main venue of the opposition meeting on Friday, similar to the Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, peethadhish of Bageshwar Dham.
He was fined Rs 1,000 for not wearing a seat belt one way to Naubatpur for a four-day religious event around a month ago.
Sharing a video of Staling, BJP spokesperson Nikhil Anand tweeted, "See, again and again, see thousand times. Son of the king will rule, insult democracy. In Nitish government, the king's son has the liberty to violate traffic rules? Baba Bageshwar was fined for not wearing a seat-belt. Now, where is your policy and ethics?"
Meanwhile, the RJD MLA Shakti Singh Yadav denied the allegations and said, "Stalin was travelling in a bullet proof car. The seat-belt in it remains in a different place than the normal cars. The BJP leader lacks knowledge of its placement. Tamil Nadu CM is a dignified person and follows all the rules."
However, the traffic SP Puran Kumar Jha said he had not seen the video and the matter did not come to his notice.
It must be mentioned here that when Baba Bageshwar Dham reached Patna last month, he did not wear a seat belt in the car while leaving the Patna airport.
After his video went viral, the Patna traffic police imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 on him. At that time, the JD(U) and the RJD had justified the action and said that no matter who he is, the law is the same for everyone.
