Jaipur: A day after calling off the protest demanding suspension of additional commissioner, JMC Heritage mayor Munesh Gurjar on Friday has sought protection from the state government claiming threat to safety of her family.
The mayor said that at present low-level politics is being done by involving caste indicative words and in such a situation, there is threat to her children. The mayor said that the SC girl that she has adopted, that child and her family are being disturbed and targeted.
“Very low-level politics are being done at present. An audio has been released and I have demanded that the audio clip must be investigated where voices of certain ministers, councillors, and father of the SC child I adopted can be heard and it must be probed. Today, the child whom I have adopted, her father is being pressurised and disturbed. If any fight needs to be done or discussions, then they must directly talk to me, and anyone who hurts my family, I will deal with them directly and upfront,” said Gurjar.

The mayor was upset with the patch work she found being done, as the drains were still filled with dirt and debris. The mayor also met shopkeepers in the Walled City to ask about their problems.
