Hosps directed to report typhoid cases

Mangaluru: In the wake of typhoid cases being reported at various places recently, the health and family welfare department in Dakshina Kannada district has directed hospitals to report cases. District surveillance officer Dr Jagadeesh said that 12 typhoid cases have been reported in Mangaluru. He said that sporadic cases were reported at various places in the district. All hospitals have been instructed to report to the health department if any typhoid cases are reported in the district, he added. TNN
