PTIThe couple, who were headed back home with their daughter, were greeted by a sea of fans outside Apollo Hospital Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad. The fans didn't leave any stone unturned as they greeted the new parents with a rose petal shower at the hospital gate.
AgenciesThe Telugu superstar, dressed in a crisp white shirt, a pair of blue denim trousers and sunglasses, cradled his newborn daughter in his arms as he stepped out of the hospital. The 33-year-old new mother wore a flowing floral maxi dress as she took the baby girl in her arms from her husband.
The duo beamed with happiness as they posed for shutterbugs stationed outside the hospital.
Addressing the media and the fans for all their love, the 'RRR' actor expressed his gratitude to all the well-wishers.
"I am thankful to our fans for performing poojas and prayers for the well-being of the kid. I am indebted to all for showering love on us. I'm overwhelmed with this joyous moment. Your blessings and wishes will continue to be with our baby girl," he was quoted as saying.
ANILater that day, the 38-year-old actor held a press conference and revealed that his daughter resembled him. The video of the proud new father's response has been doing the rounds on social media.
The couple welcomed their daughter on June 20 after 11 years of marriage. They announced the pregnancy in December.
Ram Charan's father and veteran actor Chiranjeevi took to Twitter to post a sweet message for his granddaughter. He wrote, "Welcome Little Mega Princess! You have spread cheer among the Mega Family of millions on your arrival as much as you have made the blessed parents Ram Charan and Upasana and us grandparents, happy and proud!"
The couple tied the knot in 2012 after dating for years.
