The Cincinnati Reds beat the Atlanta Braves 11-10 Friday night at Great American Ball Park to extend their winning streak to 12 games. The 12th win in a row ties the 1939 and 1957 teams.

If the Reds sweep the Braves, they'll tie the franchise record for 14 wins in a row (1899) and will head to Baltimore for a showdown with the Orioles on Monday (7:10 p.m. on 700 WLW-AM/Bally Sports). If they were to win that game, they'd own the longest streak in the history of MLB's oldest franchise.
Slugfest, streak at Great American Ball Park
The Reds and Braves scored 21 runs Friday night, which included prospect Elly De La Cruz breaking the cycle streak for Cincinnati. It was the first time a Reds player hit for the cycle since 1989 and De La Cruz is only in his 15th game in MLB.
Both clubs traded haymakers as the teams combined for 21 runs and 25 hits.
