Nigerian held with narcotics worth Rs 66 lakh

PANAJI: The anti-narcotic cell of the Goa police on Thursday raid an area at Mollembhat, Saligao, and arrested 47-year-old Nigerian national Sunday Onye Lucky for being in possession of 64.9g of LSD liquid and 20.5g of MDMA estimated to be worth Rs 66 lakh.
The ANC then proceeded to investigate the assets of the accused under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act in a bid to identify and trace any illegally acquired properties. It found that Lucky had movable and immovable property worth Rs 97 lakh. These comprised flats, shops, vehicles and bank accounts that were supposedly acquired through illegal trade of drugs.
