No negligence will be tolerated, teachers told

NOIDA: The Basic Siksha Adhikari (BSA), Aishwariya Lakshmi said “no negligence will be tolerated once the school reopens in July” at a meeting with the principals of government primary and upper primary schools held at IIMT College Knowledge Park on Friday.
“Earlier, there had been many incidents where schools were found not working properly or teachers were absent from classes. Once the school reopens in July, any negligence will be strictly punishable,” said Lakshmi adding that so far only 35 schools have got NIPUN status. Principals and teachers of the rest of the schools should work sincerely and try to get NIPUN status at the earliest.
Further, the official has set the student enrolment target to at least one lakh this year and instructed schools to provide facilities to students without Aadhaar cards.
“Teachers will be evaluated every two weeks, and the one who completes their target will be selected and honored at the district level. All the teachers should reach the school on time and ensure maximum attendance of the students,” said the BSA.
A door-to-door campaign on special communicable disease control will also be launched at the school level to make students and parents aware, officials said.
Meanwhile, District Institute of Education & Training (DIET) principal Raj Singh Yadav said that out of 498 schools in the district, 388 schools are to be made NIPUN by cluster teachers, ARP, and SRG. By July, 50% of the schools should be declared as NIPUN, and the rest 50% by September, said the official.
