Weather update: IMD predicts light rain with dust storm and gusty winds in Delhi-NCR today

The national capital on Saturday recorded a minimum temperature of 30.4 degree Celsius which is two notches above the season's average. The India Meteorological Department said that it is expected to see little rain later in the day.
The weather office also predicted a generally cloudy sky with very light rain or thundershowers during the day. The maximum temperature is likely to settle around 38 degrees Celsius.
In the latest update, IMD has also stated that dust storm and gusty winds in Delhi-NCR during the next 2 hours.
As per IMD, "Dust storm and gusty winds with speed of 40-60 Km/h would occur over and adjoining areas of many places of Delhi and NCR . Thunderstorm light to moderate intensity rain and gusty winds with speed of 40-60 Km/h would occur over and adjoining areas during next 2 hours.
The areas as stated by the weather office are Hastinapur, Chandpur, Meerut, Kithor, Amroha, Moradabad, Garhmukteshwar, Rampur, Pilakhua, Hapur, Gulaoti, Sambhal, Billari, Milak, Chandausi, Jahangirabad, Anupshahar, Bahajoi, Shikarpur, Debai, Narora, Sahaswan, Kasganj (UP).
The relative humidity at 8.30 am was recorded at 69 per cent.
As per SAFAR, Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) as of 12.30 pm was recorded in at 132 which is in 'moderate' category. An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe.'
Earlier, The Regional Weather Forecasting Centre (RWFC) New Delhi also predicted thunderstorms with moderate intensity rain in parts of Uttar Pradesh. In Mumbai too, IMD has also issued a yellow alert for the city, predicting heavy rainfall in parts of Maharashtra in the next 4-5 days. "Rainfall intensity to gradually increase over parts of Maharashtra during next 4-5 days. Indication of expected severe weather in the next 5 days," said, Regional Meteorological Center, Mumbai, in a tweet.
