Minutes after the all-party meeting, headed by Home Minister Amit Shah, on the Manipur situation, concluded on 24 June, the blast case in the state has been transferred to National Investigation Agency.

Earlier on 21 June at 7.10 pm, an explosion took place over one bridge located at the adjoining area of Phougakhegao Ikhai Awang Leikai and Kwakta along Tiddim Road.

As per details, the explosive was fitted inside one four-wheeler vehicle Mahindra Scorpio which was parked over the bridge by unknown miscreants. Following the blast, some portion of the bridge on the Western side got badly damaged by the blast and three boys sustained minor injuries.

Suspecting the involvement of insurgents operating in the state and across the border the case is being transferred to NIA in the interest of national security, said Manipur Police.

As per ANI sources, Amit Shah said that 36000 security personnel deployed in Manipur, 40 IPS officers sent and essential supplies including medicines have been ensured.

Meanwhile, sharing the details of Saturday's meeting, DMK MP Tiruchi Siva said, "We expressed our concern about the incidents that are going on in Manipur for the past more than 50 days. The Home Minister just listened to every one of us. And he said that he is looking after it & said trust me. I'll restore peace. The PM has not expressed his concern. We requested that the all-party delegation has to be sent to Manipur. He said we have deployed more police that's what we suggested. It is not law and order breakdown to be controlled by police and army or Assam rifles. It is a failure of the governance in the state and the union government..."

"It was an open discussion. The entire opposition went to the extent of saying that the person heading the administration of Manipur is not trustworthy...we can't have peace in Manipur till he is in charge...," Manoj Jha, RJD MP said.

Details say that over 4,000 houses have been attacked and destroyed, 60,000 people have been displaced and internet services suspended across the state for over 50 days. Apart from this, as many as 250 churches and 17 temples have been burned, damaged, and destroyed by mobs on a rampage.

Addressing a press conference, post the meeting, former Manipur CM & Congress leader Okram Ibobi Singh said, “When I started giving my suggestions, I think he did not want to listen. I also mentioned that this was not the time to politicise the issue as normalcy needs to be brought in the state. I asked him to give me at least 5 mins to speak on the issue but he asked me to meet him separately."
