Kerala drug peddler arrested in Hyderabad with 50 grams of MDMA

Kerala-based drug peddler Chalapurath Sumesh was arrested by the Rachakonda commissionerate's Special Operation Team (SOT) on Thursday. Sumesh, who was previously caught with 240 kg of ganja, had been supplying MDMA to clients in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Hyderabad. He would purchase the drug from his associate Adhuu Shalbin in Bengaluru and sell it for up to Rs 8,000 per gram. The police seized 50 grams of MDMA, cash, and a mobile phone from Sumesh, all worth around Rs 5 lakh.
