Wilfried Zaha forced to wear hilarious t-shirt as ex-Crystal Palace kit man joins winger on his stag do

Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has shown he is your Average Joe by wearing a hilarious novelty shirt on his stag do.

The 30-year-old is engaged to Paige Bannister after proposing to his partner on Valentine's Day last year.

And after a well earned post-season break with Paige and their son Saint Laurence, the Ivory Coast international is now truly ready to let his hair down.

Zaha took to Instagram where he shared a photo of himself and his five pals, captioning the post: "Stag with the lads."

While his mates wore black t-shirts with 'Wilf's Stag Do 26.06.2023' on the front, Zaha looked sheepish in a beige t-shirt.

And it's no surprise why as the words 'Game Over' were etched in between a picture of a groom having a ball and chain tied to his leg, with a bride facing the other way.

But it was all good fun with Zaha happy to join in on the customary stag do traditions of getting stitched up by your mates.

One of those friends include Crystal Palace's former kit man Danny Young, who is now the Eagles' Head of Player Care - a role he has held since 2017.

Young won Palace's Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Contribution last year, with Zaha effusive in his praise for his close pal.

He said: "He has 20 million conversations on his phone, 23 players, and he goes around joking with everyone. He's one of the kindest people I've met in football."

Zaha is one of a number of high-profile footballers that are unwinding after a hectic campaign.

World Cup winner Lionel Messi is back in Argentina, where he was spotted enjoying a peaceful bike ride in his hometown of Rosario.

Meanwhile Cristiano Ronaldo and his family have been relaxing on a luxury yacht after the Saudi Pro League season come to an end.

It is expected to be a busy summer for Zaha, as not only is he tying the knot, but he could also join a new club.

The ex-Manchester United forward is set to become a free agent with his contract at Selhurst Park to expire at the end of the month.

talkSPORT reported last month how Zaha had been offered a new deal worth £200,000-a-week to stay on in south London.

Though he could earn more money should he choose to make the move to the Middle East with clubs in Saudi Arabia keen.

Zaha has also been touted as a possible replacement for Messi at Paris Saint-Germain after the forward run his contract down before agreeing to link up with Inter Miami.
