3 dead in truck-trailer collision

Prayagraj: Three persons died when a sand-laden truck and a trailer collided head-on at Nanmai modh of Saini Police station in Kaushambi district on Thursday, police said.
According to station officer Saini, Subash Chaurasia: “The accident took place on Prayagraj-Kanpur highway at around 6.30am when the sand-laden truck, having registration plate of Pratapgarh, coming from wrong side hit the trailer coming from Rajasthan and heading towards Prayagraj. The deceased included driver Jeetram Saini (30) and cleaner of the trailer Bablu (35) and the driver of the truck Shabihul (38).”
Cops from Saini, Kokhraj and Kada Dham police stations reached the spot on receiving information and used gas cutters and JCB machines to take out bodies.
