I-T raids on two chemical firms

Vadodara: The income tax (I-T) department conducted raids on two chemical firms on Thursday. A team of about 60 I-T officials raided about 10 different places in Vadodara and Bharuch including the manufacturing units and offices of the firm.
An I-T official said that the department had been conducting an inquiry into the income tax filings, accounts and tax evasion by both firms for the last few months.The raids are expected to continue for the next couple of days. TNN
