    Share price of SBI Card falls as Sensex drops 103.19 points

    The share price of SBI Cards and Payment Services Ltd. dropped 1.59 per cent to Rs 865.95 at 01:17PM (IST) in Friday's trade. The counter has hit a high of Rs 878.0 and low of Rs 860.05 so far during the session. The stock had closed at Rs 879.9 in the previous session.

    The counter has had a total traded volume of 25430 shares so far with a value of Rs 2.2 crore on the NSE. It traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 36.36 and a price-to-book ratio of 7.12.

    A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price for per rupee earnings given by the stock because of better future growth expectations.

    The price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and reflects the price investors are willing to pay even for no growth in the business.

    The scrip gained 18.34 per cent during the past one year, while the 30-share index advanced 22.36 per cent during the same period.

    The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 3916.57 crore for the quarter ended 31-Mar-2023, up 7.12 per cent from the previous quarter's Rs 3656.15 crore and up 29.86 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 3016.1 crore.

    Profit for the latest quarter stood at Rs 596.47 crore, up 2.69 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.
