However, as per the reports, Mari Selvaraj has landed in trouble after he faced backlash on social media for his speech criticising Kamal Haasan's 'Thevar Magan' at the 'Maamannan' audio launch. Adding power to it, netizens also found a 13-year-old letter from the director in which he wrote that Kamal Haasan has mocked the subject of 'Thevar Magan'.Mari Selvaraj was trolled by netizens for criticising the subject of the Kamal Haasan starrer, which is one of the cult classics in Tamil. But the director has explained his side in his latest interaction with a YouTube channel and said that the letter written 13 years ago was an immature one. He has developed himself well as a director in the past 13 years, and he can now realise the mistake he made and the pride of Kamal Haasan.Mari Selvaraj has also called his speech at the 'Maamannan' audio launch an emotional moment as he started at one point and ended at a different point. Because he was so emotional, Kamal Haasan is going to talk after him, and the legendary actor has already watched the director's next-week release, 'Maamannan'. Mari Selvaraj felt elated and super happy as Kamal Haasan shook hands with him and blessed him by sharing some praise for the former after watching 'Maamannan'. As a reply to trolls, Mari Selvaraj said that Kamal Haasan could understand his emotional speech at the audio launch as he made those points, seeing the eyes of the latter.
