Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Hind Const Co(number of shares traded: 8.39 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 7.05 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 3.22 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 3.15 crore), IDFC First Bank(number of shares traded: 2.86 crore), RattanIndia Power (number of shares traded: 2.63 crore), Alok Industries(number of shares traded: 1.83 crore), Dish TV India(number of shares traded: 1.80 crore), Easy Trip Planners(number of shares traded: 1.79 crore) and Zomato(number of shares traded: 1.79 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:35AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 44.6 points down at 18726.65, while BSE Sensex was down 74.38 points at 63164.51 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 2.00 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.26 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 1.11 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 1.08 per cent) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 0.97 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 5.33 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 3.98 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 2.40 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 1.88 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.81 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
