Forest Hills announces new Turpin High School Principal Andy Jados

Forest Hills School District Superintendent Larry Hook announced Andy Jados will be the next Turpin High School principal Friday. Hook will recommend Jados to the school board for approval next week, to start in the role Aug. 1.

Jados will replace David Spencer, who served as Turpin's principal for eight years. Spencer announced he was leaving the district in May for a job with Loveland City Schools.

"Without question, Mr. Jados will be a wonderful addition to Turpin High School and the Forest Hills School District," Hook wrote in a Friday morning note to district staff and families. "His focus on making student-centered decisions and building positive relationships will reinforce the continually high educational standards that we value and enjoy in FHSD."
Jados is coming to Turpin from Big Walnut High School in Sunbury, north of Columbus, where he's been principal for the past eight years. He has more than two decades of administrative experience and also worked as a social studies teacher at the middle and high school levels.
According to a 2015 article from The Delaware Gazette, Jados also served as principal at Franklin Heights High School in Columbus and assistant principal in Westerville, where he was named the state's Assistant Principal of the Year by the secondary principals' association. He was a dean in Pickerington and taught high school social studies in Hilliard.
Hook said the district went through a rigorous interview process involving staff, administrators and family and community feedback.
"Thank you to everyone who was involved in this important decision for your continued support of students and education," Hook wrote.
Community members can meet Jados at an open house event Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Turpin High School.
