Man stabbed to death in Delhi's Wazirabad area, 1 arrested

NEW DELHI: A 24-year-old man was stabbed to death allegedly by his acquaintance over personal enmity in north Delhi's Wazirabad area, police said on Friday.
The accused acquaintance has been arrested, they said.
PTI quoted deputy commissioner of police (North) Sagar Singh Kalsi as saying that a call was received around 10.40am on Thursday about the stabbing.
The victim was then rushed to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
According to police, after the accused stabbed the victim, he fled from the spot on a motorcycle with a friend who was waiting for him nearby.
The victim sustained a stab injury below the chest and died, the senior police officer said.
Inquiry revealed that victim Md Faizan and accused Abdul Mashad knew each other for over a year and they allegedly consumed drugs together often, Kalsi said.
They allegedly had a fight during one such occasion, he said.
Based on a complaint by Md Fazil, the victim's brother, a case of murder under Section 302 was registered against the accused, police said.
