Jharkhand Students’ Union (Ajsu-P) on Thursday held ‘sankalp sabhas’, felicitation ceremonies and discussions in all 81 assembly constituencies of the state to mark its foundation day.
Speaking at the party’s programme held at its state headquarters, party supremo
Sudesh Mahto said that weak political leadership is the main reason for non-fulfillment of the aspirations of people after formation of Jharkhand. “Politicians have failed to act in the interest of the people.
Common agenda should be formed among political parties for development of the state as one cannot fulfill the aspirations of the people without learning about the history of the state,” he said.
On chief minister Hemant Soren distributing appointment letters to around 2,500 youths, he claimed that the vacancies have not been created under the present government. He said that a government, which promised five lakhs jobs a year, is making such a big advertisement for this small event.
Questioned about the opposition meet in Patna on Friday, Mahto said that it was the sense of fear that was bringing them together. “They may meet at one place, but cannot unite,” he said.
Party spokesman Deosharan Bhagat said that during the ‘sankalp diwas’, the party workers resolved to implement the dreams on which a separate state of Jharkhand was formed.
He said that Ajsu-P would observe the current year as a year of struggle, adding that agitations would be conducted on public related issues, including local people policy, social justice, loot of resources and corruption.
It may be stated here that the party would also hold ‘Jan Panchayats’ in the coming days to get feedback on the performance of the current state government from the people and convey the party’s policies to them.
