Woman dies by suicide after spat, in-laws cremate body

NOIDA: A 27-year-old woman, who allegedly died by suicide after a fight with her husband, was cremated by her in-laws without a police complaint in Rabupura area of Greater Noida on Wednesday.
Police said they received information about the incident from the woman's brother around 5 pm on Wednesday. He accused his sister's in-laws of murder.
"We have launched a probe into the matter. So far, we have found that on Wednesday morning the woman had a fight with her husband. Thereafter, she went to a bathroom where she was later found hanging," Rudra Kumar Singh ACP, Greater Noida, said.
Her in-laws allegedly did not inform the woman's family and cremated the body, Singh said.
The woman's husband works at a private company and the exact cause of the fight between the couple is yet to be determined.
"We are probing all the angles in the case and are yet to receive a formal complaint. Once the complaint is received, appropriate legal action would be taken," Singh said.
