Cabinet nod to monsoon session

Panaji: The state cabinet on Wednesday granted approval to the monsoon session of the Goa legislative assembly from July 18 onwards. The last assembly session, which was summoned on March 27, was adjourned sine die on March 31 and prorogued on April 13.
The session will be of 18 working days. This will be one of the longest sessions in Goa in the last couple of years.
Besides a discussion on the general budget, there will be a discussion on the demands of each department and passing of the same. The state government will also introduce government bills. There will also be private member resolutions and bills during the session.
