Cincinnati weather: Cooler temps, possible thunderstorms this weekend

Grab your umbrella because there will be occasional showers and a chance for thunderstorms through the end of the week.

According to a hazardous weather outlook from the National Weather Service in Wilmington, a few strong to severe storms may occur late Sunday afternoon into Sunday night. Damaging wind is the primary severe weather threat.

Hazardous weather is expected Friday through Sunday for East Central Indiana, Southeast Indiana, Northern Kentucky, Southwest Ohio and West Central Ohio.

Occasional showers and clouds will also lead to below-normal, cooler temperatures Thursday and Friday. Highs will be in the low to mid-70s.

Detailed Cincinnati forecast

Thursday: A slight chance of showers between 7 and 8 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. 

Thursday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 3 a.m., then showers likely between 3 and 5 a.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 5 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 63.

Friday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8 a.m., then showers likely between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. 

Friday night:  A chance of thunderstorms before 8 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. 

Saturday: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86.

Saturday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m. Mostly clear, with a low around 64. 

Sunday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 90.

Monday: A chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 84.

Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. 

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82.
