About 45 minutes north of Tulsa, in northeastern Oklahoma, is the small, rural city of Bartlesville, which crops up out of green prairie terrain dotted with leafy trees. A sliver of old-fashioned Americana, Bartlesville has a suburbia-on-the-range feel complete with a diminutive downtown that can be traversed on foot in five minutes without encountering a stoplight.
