Bokaro: International Day of Yoga was celebrated with much enthusiasm in the district on Wednesday. Several yoga camps were organized, and students, senior citizens, politicians, administrative officials, and residents, participated in it.
People practicing asanas and pranayama together created a vibrant atmosphere. Yoga sessions were organised in Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) and other companies apart from schools across the district. At Police Line Ground, Sector 12, a district level yoga program was organised. On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kuldeep Chowdhary said “Regular yoga is necessary for better health”. Superintendent of Police (SP) Chandan Jha said that he himself does yoga regularly.
“By practicing yoga regularly, individuals can enhance their physical fitness, reduce stress levels, improve flexibility, and achieve mental clarity,” deputy development commissioner (DDC) Keertishree said.
“The participation of such a diverse group of people in the International Yoga Day celebrations reflects the growing recognition of yoga as a holistic practice that benefits individuals of all ages and backgrounds. It's a positive step towards promoting health and wellness within the community,” Sandhaya Sinha, a yoga teacher, said.
