In the Nifty index, Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.98 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 0.91 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(up 0.51 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.49 per cent) and Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 0.45 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Tata Steel Ltd.(down 2.46 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 2.44 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 2.12 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 2.07 per cent) and Asian Paints Ltd.(down 2.05 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
