The index closed 85.6 points down at 18771.25.
On the BSE, Kapashi Comm, Olympic Oil, Elango Ind, Global Longlife Hosp and Suumaya Corporation hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Simplex Mills, Simplex Papers, Bright Outdoor Media, Eastern Logica Infow and Mukesh Babu Fin touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
