Cunk on Earth

Netflix, streaming now Let’s face it, Diane Morgan — even via her roles in Motherland, After Life and Mandy — has only ever played one character. And that’s Philomena Cunk, as created by Charlie Brooker. She returns with another mockumentary, where she Ali G’s her way through more eye-watering interviews.

The Grand Tour

Prime Video, streaming now Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May continue to bring us the best bits from their Top Gear tenure — especially given Clarkson has since re-ingratiated himself with the viewing public thanks to Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and his charming farming show. This time, they head to Central Europe on a road trip nobody has ever thought of (possibly because it crosses a large swathe of the former Soviet Union) in cars nobody would ever dream of. This epic 1,400-mile jaunt takes them from Gdańsk in Poland through Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia. They sample some Soviet-style Formula 1, are besieged by angry archers, recruit a famous racing driver (albeit in wax form) and take part in a spectacular Fast & Furious climax. Expect Jeremy’s impressive girth to work against him (particularly in terms of exiting a situation), Captain Slow to make the most of his drunk purchase, and Hamster to hurtle toward yet another racetrack calamity.

Extraction

Netflix, streaming now Ever found yourself pondering just what Chris Hemsworth’s career would’ve looked like in the absence of comic-book adaptations? Anyway, Thor returns as Aussie black ops mercenary Tyler Rake, in Netflix’s “summer blockbuster” offering. This is considered impressive given Rake barely survived the events of the first movie.

Farm Rebellion

Disney+, streaming now Benedikt Bösel was an investment banker. Now he’s testing a radical new type of agriculture in the fight against climate change.

Tudum 2023: Global Fan Event

Netflix, streaming now What’s ‘Tudum’, I hear you ask? Well, it’s that noise you hear every time you settle down to watch something on Netflix. Now, after two years as a virtual event, the 2023 Tudum live stream will be broadcast live in front of thousands of fans in São Paulo. What’s it all for? A chance for the OG streaming platform to celebrate not just itself, but its brand-defining films, series, talent and creators.

Stan Lee

Disney+, streaming now Charting his life from New York as Stanley Lieber to the rise of Marvel Comics, this is the story of Stan Lee’s life, career and legacy shown through personal archival material.
