The plot had been altered, the VFX was poor, the characters felt out of place, and there were far too many superfluous additions. Overall, after leaving the theatre, viewers wouldn't feel as though they had seen the Ramayana. Although the first half was alright, the second half puts viewers' tolerance to the limit with drawn-out war scenes. Adipurush was expected to rekindle the popularity of mythical films, but the strategy failed. Which movie will help this genre grow in the future? Let's find out.

Despite a great opening weekend at the box office, Adipurush, starring prabhas and kriti sanon as modern-day ram and Sita, failed to pass the monday test. box office India reported Monday's receipts as 7.75 crore net for Om Raut's VFX-heavy Ramayan retelling, which saw a 78% decline in revenue on Day 4. The movie's net income now stands at 113 crores (up from 105 crores at the end of Sunday). The controversy that Adipurush is presently embroiled in seems to have affected the movie's box office performance. According to box office India, viewers in the hindi belt expected to watch one Ramayan but saw a totally another one.
