KH Muniyappa accuses Centre of doing politics over rice, says will buy rice from other states

Targeting the Central Government over the denial of rice supply to the Karnataka government for its Anna Bhagya Scheme, the state’s Food and Civil Supplies Minister KH Muniyappa on June 21 said that The government is playing politics over it and therefore we have decided to purchase rice from others states.“There is no war between the state and central government. On June 12th, they (Central Govt) had written a letter that they will give rice but on 13th June they refused. Rice is available in sufficient quantity but they are doing politics on it. We have decided that we will buy rice from other states,” said KH Muniyappa.
