Pooja Bhatt, initially expected to be a panelist on 'Bigg Boss OTT 2', entered the show as a contestant. Her entry, which was FIRST and EXCLUSIVE reported on ETimes TV, a few hours before she stepped inside the 'Bigg Boss' House, made several heads turn as they were extremely surprised to see her.
ETimes TV got in touch with her father Mahesh Bhattto know what he thinks of his daughter's decision to join the online-reality show.
Mahesh Bhatt said, "Life's greatest adventures begin when we step into the realm of the unknown with courage and curiosity. She has done just that. I admire her audacity."
In a recent episode, Pooja was honest to share her journey of addiction and recovery from alcoholism at the age of 44. During a conversation with Cyrus Broacha, who also battled the same problem in the past, Pooja also revealed that her openness about her addiction had not gone down well with many. Pooja also said, "I recognized that I had a drinking problem. That's why I openly shared my addiction and my decision to quit drinking. Because in our society, addiction and recovery are considered a man's territory. Men are given the license to openly discuss
alcohol addiction and recovery. However, women are discouraged from openly drinking and therefore, their recovery remains hidden. I used to drink openly, so when I decided to recover from alcoholism, I realized that I shouldn't do it secretly."
