As per its official website, it is the only Indian two Michelin-starred restaurant in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The second Indian restaurant on the list is Gaggan Anand in Bangkok, Thailand. Named after its owner, the diner is run by a Kolkata-born Indian chef who has featured in Netflix’s Chef's Table. This announcement of the world’s best restaurants marks a significant shift in the culinary landscape, as Copenhagen, the previous epicentre of gastronomy, relinquishes its top position after a two-year reign.
Securing the second spot on the list is Disfrutar in Barcelona, helmed by chefs Oriol Castro, Mateu Casañas, and Eduard Xatruch, all esteemed alumni of the renowned El Bulli, according to Fortune.

Bistro is the other entry from Dubai along with Trèsind Studio. The innovative Syrian restaurant created by a group of talented brothers, sits at number 46.
