3 held for pelting stones at bus on Samruddhi

Nagpur: The Karanja rural police on Tuesday arrested three persons for pelting stones on a bus on Samruddhi expressway. The bus was targeted on Saturday midnight while it was heading towards Pune from Nagpur.
The incident happened near Karanja toll naka and left a passenger, Dayaram Hari Rathod, injured. The Karanja rural police and expressway ambulance had reached the spot immediately.
Later, police started combing the nearby villages and gathering intelligence. The investigation pointed to involvement of three persons — Shubham Dashrath Hande, 23, Ram Digambar Hande, 20, and Madhav Gajanan Walke, 23. They were later arrested.
Washim SP Bachchan Singh said that police are now investigating the motive behind the attack. “We are also finding out if they were involved in other crimes,” Singh said. TNN
