On the other hand, DLF(down 1.3 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 0.67 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers(down 0.52 per cent), SOBHA(down 0.5 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.38 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.33 per cent down at 514.15.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 40.15 points at 18856.85, while the BSE Sensex stood up 195.45 points at 63523.15.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 ended in the green, while 26 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Reliance Power, Alok Industries and Zee Ent. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Keerti Knowledge, Chaman Metallics, Proventus Agrocom, TPL Plastech and Shriram Finance hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Viaz Tyres, Viji Finance, A G Universal, Kore Digital and Sri Adhikari hit their fresh 52-week lows.
