PATNA: The
Patna high court on Tuesday stayed the arrest of BJP MLA Raju Singh, who has been absconding in a case lodged for allegedly abducting a local RJD leader in Muzaffarpur district. The RJD leader, Tulsi Prasad Yadav, had lodged an FIR at Paroo police station in Muzaffarpur on May 23, alleging that the Sahebganj MLA and his men had abducted him at gunpoint with an intention to kill him.
A single bench of Justice
Sandeep Kumar passed the order and also summoned the investigating officer (IO) on Wednesday when this matter will be heard again.
Senior counsels Pushkar Narain Shahi and Vindhyachal Singh argued the matter for the petitioner.
