Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Wednesday at 09:59AM

Rama Phosphates(up 5.30%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 4.98%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 4.50%), Bohra Industries(up 3.30%), Paradeep Phosphates(up 3.19%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 3.09%), Agro Phos(up 2.87%), ZUARIAGRO(up 2.64%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.39%) and G S F C(up 1.29%) were among the top gainers.

Coromandel International(down 0.46%) and Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 0.07%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 56.75 points up at 18873.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 248.15 points at 63575.85 at around 09:59AM.

HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 2.31%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.75%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.04%), HDFC Bank(up 1.01%), Wipro(up 0.9%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.85%), HDFC(up 0.84%), SBI Life(up 0.78%), UltraTech Cement(up 0.68%) and Bajaj Auto(up 0.55%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, JSW Steel(down 1.66%), Divis Laboratories(down 1.03%), Hindalco Industries(down 0.83%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 0.78%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.53%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 0.51%), Tata Motors(down 0.49%), Tata Steel(down 0.48%), Asian Paints(down 0.35%) and Cipla(down 0.31%) were trading in the red.
