Kanpur: The Lawyers Association on Tuesday presented a memorandum to the district magistrate demanding to extend for one month the date of online applications for appointment of notary advocates in various districts of the state. The memorandum was addressed to the principal secretary, law and
justice government of UP.
President of the Lawyers Association Ravindra Sharma stated in the memorandum that the last date for online application for appointment of notary was June 21 but as the website/ portal was not functioning properly, several advocates could not submit their applications, therefore the date should be extended for one month.
Advocates working on civil sides are not coming as civil court is closed thus they will be deprived from submitting their applications candidature if the date is not extended, said general secretary of Association, Sharad Shukla. ADM city Atul Shukla who had received the memorandum on behalf of the DM said that he would send it to the department concerned for necessary action. tnn
