Bus ferrying pvt firm staffers hits divider & overturns, six injured
Noida: A private bus carrying 28 passengers of a private company in Greater Noida’s Surajpur area to Faridabad overturned in the Ecotech-3 area on Tuesday evening. At least six employees sustained injuries, police said, but none of them are serious.
The driver, police said, lost control of the bus on reaching the Surajpur-Bhangel road and the vehicle hit a divider and collided with a tree and then flipped.
“The bus with 28 employees of the Yamaha company was on its way to Faridabad from their Surajpur office when it met with the accident around 5pm,” ACP central zone Sumit Shukla said.
“Six persons received minor injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. A crane was brought in to straighten the bus. It was later driven away by another driver of the company,” Shukla said.
The road crash had briefly disrupted traffic movement on the Surajpur-Bhangel road, police said.
In the first four months of this year, 128 people lost their lives in 363 accidents.
A total of 289 people suffered injuries in these crashes.
