    Apollo Hospital shares down 0.63% as Nifty gains

    NEW DELHI: Shares of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. traded 0.63 per cent down in Wednesday's trade at 02:14PM (IST). Around 4,057 shares changed hands on the counter.

    The stock opened at Rs 5164.0 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 5170.3 and Rs 5089.8, respectively, in the session so far. The stock of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 5290.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 3638.85.

    As per BSE, the total market cap of the Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. stood at Rs 73791.72 crore at the time of writing this report.

    Key Financials
    The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 4318.55 crore for the quarter ended 31-Mar-2023, up 0.46 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 4298.94 crore and up 20.73 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 3577.15 crore.

    The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 144.52 crore, up 60.33 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.

    Shareholding pattern
    As of 31-Mar-2023, domestic institutional investors held 11.37 per cent stake in the company, while foreign institutional investors held 46.96 per cent and the promoters 29.33 per cent.


    Valuation ratio
    According to BSE data, the stock traded at a P/E multiple of 90.09 and a price-to-book ratio of 10.0. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
