Attacked & robbed of 4L: Bank staffer
Noida: A staffer of a public sector bank’s customer care office was allegedly attacked with the butt of a pistol by two miscreants who fled with Rs 4.12 lakh, while he was on his way home on Monday night.
According to the police, the complainant, identified as Vikram Singh, was attacked at 9.30pm in Accheja village, but there has been a lack of consistency in his statement.
“Once informed, the deputy commissioner of police (Central Noida) and other officers rushed to the spot. As per the complaint, Vikram was heading home on a scooter when two miscreants on a bike intercepted him. The accused hit Vikram with the butt of a pistol and fled with his bag containing Rs 4.12 lakh and some documents. The complainant has changed his statements multiple times. We are investigating the matter,” said Rajiv Dixit, additional deputy commissioner of police (Central Noida).
Police have formed three teams and the case will be cracked soon, said an officer on Monday.
Sources in the police added that the money in the bag was Vikram’s personal.
