MantraCare has invested USD 10 million in Eye Mantra, an eye care hospital chain that specialised in Lasik and cataract treatments.

Eye Mantra intends to use the extra funds to hire and train additional medical professionals, acquire medical equipment, and open new branches to accommodate the growing demand for eye care services.

The company intends to expand rapidly across India, with a presence in more than 30 locations. The hospital company also plans to expand into overseas markets such as Africa and Southeast Asia.

Eye Mantra, founded in 2013, is an ophthalmic care platform led by medical professionals such as Dr. Shweta Jain, Dr. Poonam Gupta, and Dr. Deepti. It treats cataracts, squints, glaucoma, retina problems, and other conditions.

Eye Mantra aspires to provide cheap eye care to everyone and operates the Eye Mantra Foundation, a nonprofit eye care trust that gives free procedures to the disadvantaged. It also offers EMI payment plans with no interest.
